Horus Hippo is a cartoon character created by Dutch comic artist Stefan de Groot. In 1996 the first Kwab aka Horus Hippo comics were published. Horus Hippo is a cartoon character from the 1920s. Stefan de Groot has revived the character which has a rich history. As the story goes, Stefan de Groot’s grandfather, Marinus Hollanders, founded Teekenfilmfabriek Hollandia in the Netherlands in 1927 to produce cartoons for the cinema.
