This is an inspirational sketch for Kwabenezer Scrooge, an adaptation of a Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. I have done the sketch in the old Brushes app on an iPad 3 using a Wacom Bamboo pen. With this drawing I want to approach the style of the original illustrator John Leech. Who did his illustrations in woodblock print. The illustrations were later colored. In this attempt, I first made the sketch, then inked it and colored it with grey washes. After that I added the colors. Kwabenezer Scrooge will be an eBook I will publish in the series Kwab and the Classics for iBooks. The ebook will be published in december 2013. Since it is christmas, I am in the christmas mood to do this sketch! 😉
